Michelle Keegan is in the festive spirit with her adorable pooch as she celebrates the "best month of the year". From cosy nights at her Essex mansion to a highstreet shopping day, the Fool Me Once actress, 37, is fully embracing the countdown to Christmas.To mark the start of December, Michelle took to Instagram with a series of snaps from her festive activities so far.

In the caption, she wrote: "Happy 1st December… I’ll be honest I stepped into Christmas weeks ago. Here’s to the best month of the year." In the first snap, Michelle could be seen browsing a menu while her adorable dog was sat on her lap.

Michelle was wrapped in a cosy grey coat while part of her brunette locks were tied up in a low-key top knot. Another snap showed a peak inside the Christmas decoration of her Essex mansion, which she shares with husband Mark Wright.The decorations throughout their sprawling pad have often been compared to those out of the Home Alone house in the hit movie, with lights lining the windows, front door and an enormous tree at the entrance to their home.

Other highlights from Michelle saw her enjoy a cosy night in with a festive film as she shared a snap from the living room.The set-up came complete with another Christmas tree, an electric fire with stockings hung nearby and a circular wreath around a candle in the middle of the coffee table.The 37 year old made sure to get her dog involved in the festivities and posted a snap of her adorable personalised bed that was placed by the cosy fire.
