Helen Skelton left her fellow BBC Morning Live presenters amazed as she reminisced about her stint on BBC's Blue Peter, which at the time was her most significant presenting role. The television personality secured her spot on the classic children's show in 2008 when she was just 25 years old.
Taking over from Zoe Salmon, she became the 33rd permanent presenter on the renowned series. At the time, an elated Helen expressed her joy, saying: "I am absolutely thrilled to have been chosen.
It's a dream come 'true' to get the best job in telly and to join the series in its 50th anniversary year is a massive honour."Fans of Blue Peter will recall the programme being well known for imaginative crafts, teaching youngsters to transform household waste like empty detergent bottles into creative projects.
However, anyone assuming the show's hosts were killed at handcrafts would be mistaken, Helen modestly confessed during the Monday (December 9th) episode of Morning Live, reports Wales Online.
