Michael Stewart joked the sky is the limit as far as James Tavernier's goal record this season goes - especially if he keeps getting "two penalties a game."The Rangers captain scored his 11th goal of the season from the penalty spot against Livingston but his decisive kick only came after he'd thumped an earlier penalty wide of the post.
It means six of his 11 this season have been from 12 yards while he's also missed two - the one at Almondvale and another at Hearts earlier in the campaign. He's scored 112 goals and counting for Gers and just over half (58) have been from the penalty spot.
Speaking on Sportscene, host Jonathan Sutherland spotted that his most recent conversion put him joint-top of the Premiership scoring charts, his six strikes putting him alongside Celtic trio Matt O'Riley, Kyogo Furuhashi and David Turnbull in the race for the Golden Boot. And pundit Stewart couldn't resist a cheeky dig when Sutherland asked him if Tavernier has a chance of finishing top scorer.
