Neil Lennon

Neil Francis Lennon (born 25 June 1971) is a Northern Irish football coach and former player who is the manager of Scottish Premiership club Celtic. During his playing career he represented English clubs Manchester City, Crewe Alexandra and Leicester City.

Lennon moved to Scottish club Celtic in 2000, where he made over 200 appearances and was appointed captain in 2005. Before retiring as a player, he returned to England and played for Nottingham Forest and Wycombe Wanderers. Lennon made 40 appearances for Northern Ireland in nine years, scoring two goals. Lennon was appointed manager of Celtic in March 2010, initially in a caretaker capacity after the departure of Tony Mowbray.

Rangers should NOT have been awarded a late penalty against Aberdeen claims Neil Lennon - as he branded the fall by Connor Goldson "theatrical".

James Tavernier scored the spot-kick to rescue a point for the visitors at Pittodrie after the Dons looked to be closing in on a win thanks to Bojan Miovski's strike.

But the post-match talking points were dominated by referee Nick Walsh's decision to punish Stefan Gartenmann for a pull on Goldson in the box following intervention from the VAR room.

The call left Aberdeen boss Barry Robson fuming as he claimed that VAR should have awarded a foul to his side for a block on Gartenmann as he attempted to track the Rangers centre-back when the late corner was whipped into the box.
