Beaming Barry Robson reckons Aberdeen made Scottish football proud by flooring Eintracht Frankfurt.The Dons boss also knows it will take something similar to see off Rangers and grab Viaplay Cup glory this weekend.
Aberdeen might have been out of the qualification chase but was delighted his team finally registered the European win that their gutsy campaign had deserved - thanks to goals from Duk and Ester Sokler.
Robson said: “We’ve not got what we deserved from this European campaign."We’ve lost two games, one of them here in the 90th minute, and we could have picked up a point in Frankfurt.
I’m so pleased we got the win tonight as we’ve deserved it. Scottish football should be proud. We’ve taken stick and rightly so at times but it is not easy fighting on three fronts.
