The death of TV doctor Michael Mosley, who tragically died on a Greek island, has been recorded as an open conclusion by a coroner.
The 67 year old broadcaster and columnist went missing in June while on Symi, part of the Dodecanese island chain. His body was discovered four days later following a search by emergency services.
Buckinghamshire's Senior Coroner, Crispin Butler, described Dr Mosley’s cause of death as "indeterminate" and "unascertainable", suggesting it could be due to heatstroke or an unidentified pathological cause.
Mr Butler's written findings ruled out homicide, suicide, or accidental injury-related causes. A document from the coroner confirmed family evidence about the trip details and their stay with friends. "On the morning of June 5, they travelled to Pedi Beach, arriving late morning," according to the findings document. "Michael had intentionally left his mobile phone back at the house to prevent it getting wet on the ferry. "Later in the afternoon Michael decided he was going to walk back home rather than take the ferry.
