Michael Mosley’s wife has revealed that the TV doctor “took the wrong route and collapsed” after he was last seen at Agios Nikolaos beach on Wednesday, 5 June, before he went for a walk to the centre of the Greek island of Symi.
On Sunday, 9 June, it was revealed that a body in the search for Michael, 67, had been discovered in a rocky area beside Agia Marina following an extensive search operation led by emergency workers, which included drones and a sniffer dog.
And now, Michael’s beloved wife, Dr Clare Bailey Mosley, has confirmed the heartbreaking news that he has died as she paid tribute to her “wonderful, funny, kind and brilliant husband.
In a statement issued on behalf of Clare, she revealed that she and Michael had been “so happy together” and that she was “proud” of the resilience displayed by her and Michael’s four children over recent days.
