Michael Mosley: BBC pays tribute to TV doctor who 'leaves Britain for the better'

The BBC has paid tribute to Michael Mosley who sadly passed away at the age of 67 during a show which aired tonight (June 14) called Michael Mosley: The Doctor Who Changed Britain.The TV doctor, presenter and nutrition expert was found dead on Sunday (June 9) after an extensive four-day search on the Greek island of Symi.

He vanished while on holiday with his wife, Dr Clare Bailey.After embarking on an afternoon walk in extreme heat on Wednesday (June 5) the news many were dreading sadly came in.

And since being found, an outpouring of love has been shown to him and his family.Narrated by Professor Hannah Fry who worked alongside Mosley, they looked back at his legacy with the BBC showing Mosley on a number of shows including Trust Me I'm A Doctor - a popular show on BBC Two.They also travelled back in time to recall the moment Mosley infected himself with tapeworms for a new BBC Four documentary programme.The worms resided in his body for several weeks without causing any adverse effects.
