Donald John Trump (born June 14, 1946) is the 45th and current president of the United States. Before entering politics, he was a businessman and television personality. Trump was born and raised in the New York City borough of Queens, and received a bachelor's degree in economics from the Wharton School. He took charge of his family's real-estate business in 1971, renamed it The Trump Organization, and expanded its operations from Queens and Brooklyn into Manhattan.
The company built or renovated skyscrapers, hotels, casinos, and golf courses. Trump later started various side ventures, mostly by licensing his name. He owned the Miss Universe and Miss USA beauty pageants from 1996 to 2015, and produced and hosted The Apprentice, a reality television show, from 2003 to 2015. Forbes estimates his net worth to be $3.1 billion.
An award-winning Hamilton band is taking to the stage at Glasgow’s WestFest on Sunday June 9.The Michael Brawley Big Band play the iconic Kelvingrove Bandstand at 5pm as part of the city’s Big Sunday celebration.It’s a free event and is the first time the group has performed at the refurbished 100-year-old venue in Kelvingrove Park.Trumpet player Gary Mitchell said: “We are thrilled to be kicking off the evening’s entertainment.“So many big names have appeared at the Bandstand.

The current musical director is Duncan Parkinson.Gary added: “None of the players are paid. We’ve donated more than £50,000 to charity over the years.”The B-listed bandstand was built by the Glasgow Corporation Parks department in 1924 but closed in 1999 and fell into disrepair.It reopened in 2014 following at £2.1 million refurbishment.The WestFest gig kicks off the band’s summer schedule.
