The Englishman is turning his full attention to the Dutch giants and Tuesday’s first leg in Glasgow after watching his side edge Championship outfit Morton as they came from behind to secure a Viaplay Cup quarter final place thanks to goals from Cyriel Dessers and substitute Danilo.
PSV have taken the Dutch FA up on an offer to postpone their Eredivisie fixture against Go Ahead Eagles which was due to be sandwiched between both legs of their play-off against the Light Blues.
And speaking to Viaplay after his side’s win over Morton, as he looked ahead to the huge Euro showdown, he said: “It’s two wonderful games and in-between that we have a difficult trip up to Ross County for an early start while PSV get the weekend off so I’ll let you argue the reasons behind that.” Pundit Stephen Craigan said: “I think you’re making a point there” and Beale said: “You’re not wrong.”But as he then moved on to the game itself and his approach, Beale said: “I’m led to believe we’re slight underdogs but what a wonderful opportunity.
