Mexican restaurant to open its doors opposite Stockport's historic market

A year after a much-loved Stockport restaurant closed its doors, owners have confirmed it will be re-open as a Mexican Taqueria.

La Capilla, which already has a site in Heaton Chapel will open in the former Blackshaws, opposite the town's historic marketplace.

The building, has been restored to preserve its original charm and character and will open its doors to its first customers on Friday, September 15.

Blackshaws closed last September, but owner Steve Pilling promised it would reopen as a concept that would take Stockport’s food scene “to another level”.
