A weather map has shown how snow will sweep Greater Manchester this week, as temperatures are set to drop to below freezing.
Many parts of Northern England will begin to see more freezing conditions which may bring wintry showers with it. The Met Office has now issued a heavy snow warning for Greater Manchester and other parks of the UK.
The yellow warning states there could be 'heavy snow' across Greater Manchester from Thursday (March 9) onwards. In an update, meteorologists warned: "Heavy snow has the potential to cause significant disruption on Thursday and Friday. There is a slight chance that roads may become blocked by deep snow, with many stranded vehicles and passengers "There is a small chance that communities could be cut off for several days.
