Met Office snow forecast for each Greater Manchester area as weather warning issued

The Met Office has warned that snow and ice will hit the UK over the next few days, issuing a yellow weather warning for Greater Manchester.

A warning of snow and ice covering the region is in place from 7pm on Monday night until 10am on Tuesday. The alert warns of possible travel delays on roads stranding some vehicles and passengers, delays or cancellations to rail and air travel, an increased chance of injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces, power cuts and more. The Met Office has revealed its tips on how to stay safe during the snowstorm which includes leaving extra time for travelling, taking your time when driving and what to do in the case of a powercut.

Here’s what the Met Office has forecast for each Greater Manchester boroughs. Bolton In Bolton the sleet is forecast to start around 6 pm on Monday afternoon, turning to snow around 8 pm which will continue until around 5 am on Tuesday morning.
