Scotland is set to miss out on the Cerberus heatwave currently engulfing large parts of Europe, according to forecasters.Spain, Greece and Italy continue to endure record temperatures with the mercury hitting 40C on a daily basis.
Back in the UK, sun worshipers may be "disappointed" to hear that predictions are more dreary.According to the Met Office, Scotland will remain under 20C this week, ranging between 12-19C.
Meanwhile, southern Europe continues to endure sweltering temperatures topping 48C, with hot conditions set to migrate further from the UK next week.
As reported by the Mirror, Met Office spokesman Stephen Dixon said: "Anyone hoping to see warmer weather in the UK might be disappointed.
