Vogue boss Anna Wintour has confirmed the Met Gala will be postponed due to the coronavirus outbreak. Arguably the biggest event in the fashion calendar, the annual event, held on the first Monday of May, was due to be co-hosted by Emma Stone, Meryl Streep and Lin-Manuel Miranda.
The theme this year was About Time: Fashion and Duration. However, in a letter on Vogue, Anna announced the soiree, which benefits the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute, won’t take place on 4 May.
