“Erik and Lyle Menendezs’ positive transformation, as well as their ability to find meaning and purpose from their current confinement illustrate just how much circumstances have changed since the time they were sentenced to Life Without Parole,” states the Los Angeles County District Attorney’ office in its official paperwork recommending resentencing for the nearly three decade long incarcerated siblings who murdered their parents in 1989.
