Meghan Markle has said it's "frankly ridiculous" to suggest she is missing King Charles' Coronation over a letter she sent the monarch two years ago.
The Duchess of Sussex, 41, reportedly sent a letter to father-in-law Charles, 74, following she and husband Prince Harry's bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2021.The letter is said to have regarded the alleged unconscious bias in the monarchy - in it, naming the individual accused of speculating about her unborn son Archie's skin colour, but went on to claim the person wasn't racist.
It is understood that the letter was sent in reply to one sent to her from the King - the only senior member of the family to make contact with the Duchess after she and Harry, 38, were interviewed by Oprah in March 2021.
After reports recently broke concerning the letter, the Daily Telegraph claimed that a source informed them that the Duchess's reasoning for not attending Charles' upcoming Coronation next month is because of his unsatisfactory response to her letter.
