Meghan Markle ’s name was altered on her son Archie’s birth certificate, in an unusual move reportedly "dictated by the Palace".

The raven-haired beauty and one time actress, 41, gave birth to her first child, Archie, with Prince Harry on 6 May, 2019. His birth was registered 11 days later, before an amendment was made on 5 June.

The little royal’s birth certificate was edited to name his mother as "Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Sussex" instead of "Rachel Meghan" as it originally did.

According to the Sun, this was an unprecedented move and differs from that of Kate Middleton and Prince William, who used Kate's names on their children's birth certificates.
