Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have not quite turned their backs on social media and will return "when it's right for us". The Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped back from Facebook, Twitter and Instagram after becoming fed up with the 'hate' they encountered online.
Harry and Meghan have not posted on their Sussex Royal Instagram account since March 2020. In their final post, the couple said "while you may not see us here, the work continues" as they focused on their Archewell Foundation.
But it appears the couple are not quite ready to say goodbye to their millions of followers completely. In an interview calling for urgent social media reform in the wake of the deadly Capitol Hill riots, the royal opened up on his own plans.
