A diner who took his family to McDonald's to cheer them up after the death of their cat has been refunded - after complaining about flies in the restaurant.
The family visited the Congleton branch on Monday, July 10, with the parents buying a pair of adult meals and a children's meal for their grieving four-year-old girl.

There must have been 20 flies all over those screens behind the counter. We sat down at the opposite end of the restaurant and they were all swarming round the bin, crawling on the floor. "I said ‘That's it, I'm not eating here, it's disgusting’.
