More than a month since first walking out, bus drivers who face 'daily abuse' have been making their voices heard. Unite the Union members working for First Manchester have today (Friday, August 4) walked out in a dispute over pay and conditions.
Industrial action began almost five weeks ago, but spirits were high among colleagues who claimed bosses at First see them 'just as a number'.
The latest strike comes as an eye-opening staff survey revealed financial strife among those who have walked out from the Oldham depot.
The survey of 184 drivers at First Manchester, carried out by Unite, found 61 per cent had cut back on essentials like food and heating in the past year.
