Love Island's Tyrique 'gutted' over final result and left 'blindsided' to come third
ok.co.ukLast night's Love Island finale was the definition of a nail-biter, with fans unsure which couple would be bagging this year's top spot and walking away with £50,000.
But was lovebirds Jess Harding and Sammy Root that stood victorious at the end of a much-loved series, with Whitney and Lochan narrowly missing out on first place by taking home the 'runners-up' title.
Overall however, it is third place couple Ella and Tyrique that set tongues wagging last night, after the latter appeared disappointed by the result.
And today, body language expert Darren Stanton reveals his belief that Tyrique was "blind-sided" at having landed in neither of the top spots, after "masking his true" emotions. "Out of all of the guys in the show, Tyrique has a lot of integrity and shines as one of the strongest characters," Darren tells us, speaking on behalf of Betfair. "His relationship with Ella appears to be genuine and when they say they love each other, it comes from a place of true authenticity.
