McDonald's investigating claims lives being risked by staff ignoring Covid rules

McDonald’s has been accused of putting employees’ lives at risk by failing to follow coronavirus safety rules.Whistleblowers across the country have claimed social distancing is being ignored in some branches, while their temperatures are not often checked.The fast food giant has now launched an internal investigation, saying the allegations are “deeply concerning”.According to Sky News, staff at branches in Kent, Merseyside and Greater Manchester say health and safety rules have been repeatedly broken.Workers also claim they can not wash their hands every 30 minutes, while social distancing screens are not always used in some of the restaurants.Melissa Evans, a customer experience leader at a branch in Wandsworth, south west London, told.
