McDonald's has confirmed its Happy Meals will now look a lot different, with a shakeup aimed at kids aged 4-11. While Happy Meal boxes are known for their red and yellow colouring and smile design, new "bespoke" Sonic 3 boxes are now available in UK restaurants, with the launch "celebrating" the recently-released Sonic the Hedgehog 3 film.

This is not the only change McDonald's has made, there are also nine new "premium toys" available in the boxes, said to "encourage children aged 4-11 to be ambitious and bring out the best in each other, inspired by their favourite Sonic 3 characters".

McDonald's has also recently launched a number of new menu items - and today, Wednesday January 15, diners can get their hands on popular wrap for the reduced price of £1.99.

The Chicken Katsu wrap, which first appeared on menus earlier this month, is on offer on Wednesdays. Other new menu items include the new BBQ Ranch Stack and the Milky Way McFlurry, and old favourites such as the McCrispy BBQ Smokehouse and Mozzarella Dippers are also now available.
