When best friends Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman went missing during what should have been an idyllic summer holiday, the whole country hoped for their safe return.
The 10-year-olds were inseperable and the whole community joined in the search for them when they vanished on August 4, 2002.
Jessica had left her home in Soham to go to a BBQ at Holly's. After a day of playing and enjoying food and fun with Holly's family, the girls said they were going upsairs to play.
But, without telling anyone, they snuck out of the house to go and buy sweets from a vending machine in a nearby sports centre - the typical actions of two young girls.
