Maura Higgins has reassured fans she is feeling much better after being stuck in bed for days with a mystery illness.The former Love Island star recently explained she had been "living off cereal" for the past few days after coming down with a sickness.

And over a week later, the 31 year old reality star took to her Instagram Story to explain she was "on the road to recovery".

Sharing a make-up free selfie in which she wore a grey hoodie in bed, Maura penned: "Thank you for all your lovely get well msgs...

I am finally on the road to recovery." Maura also explained that she was on a mission to gain weight after losing a stone due to no appetite during her illness.
