There’s been an update about Matt Rife after the comedian cancelled two shows citing a “last minute medical emergency.” The 28-year-old comedian made the difficult decision to cancel two performances on his ProbleMATTic World Tour on Wednesday (May 29) at Indiana University.

After the last-minute cancellation, he has elected to take a two week break and some additional details have emerged. Keep reading to find out more… Matt is taking a two week break from life on the road and has rescheduled several additional performances, which were planned at the Chicago Theater and the Ryman Auditorial in Nashville, Tenn., according to an email sent by venues to ticket buyers. “Unfortunately, due to immediate health concerns, Matt’s shows at the Chicago Theater / Ryman Auditorium are being rescheduled.

On the way to a recent show in Indiana, Matt experienced extreme exhaustion symptoms and nearly fainted heading to the venue.

Matt is currently under advisement from his medical team to take immediate time off from touring for two weeks,” the email read. “Future dates will not be affected, and his shows will continue, starting in Memphis on 6/12.” Fans unable to attend the rescheduled shows will be offered refunds.
