Brighton are reportedly ready to break the longstanding Scottish transfer record to land Matt O'Riley - and are confident of securing the midfielder in a £25m-plus deal.
O'Riley had been the subject of FIVE bids from Atalanta but they eventually gave up after their most recent offer worth £23.5m after add-ons was turfed out.
They turned their attentions to Lazar Samardzic instead and that had boosted hopes of the Hoops keeping hold of their key man.
Now, though, it seems Brighton are ready to pry him away.It was reported earlier on Monday that they had submitted a formal bid for the playmaker with talks set to continue in the early part of this week.
