Marcus Rashford (born 31 October 1997) is an English professional footballer who plays as a forward for Premier League club Manchester United and the England national team.
A Manchester United player from the age of seven, he scored two goals on both his first-team debut against Midtjylland in the UEFA Europa League in February 2016 and his Premier League debut against Arsenal three days later.
He also scored in his first Manchester derby match, his first EFL Cup match and his first UEFA Champions League match. With United, Rashford has so far won the FA Cup, EFL Cup, FA Community Shield and UEFA Europa League.
Matt Hancock has blamed getting Marcus Rashford's name wrong in a live TV blunder on watching Harry Potter. Health Secretary Hancock, speaking on Sky News, referred to Rashford as 'Daniel' - the same name as Potter actor Daniel Radcliffe.
Viewers were quick to pick up on the error while the clip was widely shared on Twitter with high-profile accounts such as Gary Neville and Gary Lineker quickly referencing it.
Explaining the mishap, Hancock told LBC: "I don’t know, maybe I had Harry Potter on the mind. "My seven-year-old listens to Harry Potter and reads Harry Potter avidly, including at 5.30am this morning when I got up to do this morning media round.
