MasterChef judges Marcus Wareing and Monica Galetti might not have spoken publicly about Gregg Wallace since he stepped back from the BBC show amid misconduct claims last week - but there are plenty of examples of them speaking about working alongside him in not entirely complimentary terms.
Wallace, 60, is accused of making inappropriate sexual remarks to 13 people. Ahead of the return of MasterChef: The Professionals in 2023, Monica joked about the stress of working with Wallace causing Wareing to go grey, quipping: "But I think we all get that for a year working with Gregg." Marcus has admitted to disagreements with Gregg, candidly saying "it f**ks it all up" when he gets involved in decisions.
He once remarked: "If it was just me and Monica, then we're good at predicting the winner, but because Gregg is in the mix, it f**ks it all up a bit.
We have times where we do disagree but everyone's entitled to their point of view." He also reflected on how he's become more relaxed over time, contrasting his current laid-back approach with his earlier intensity: "There are three votes and in the early days I'd be fighting like a cat in a bag but now it's like, 'whatever'," reports the Express.
