The fashion designer had previously filed an emergency divorce from her husband of five years back in April but it was rejected due to the current global pandemic.
The statewide pause meant that New York courts closed for all hearings that were not considered to be emergencies or immediately essential.
However, when the courts reopened on Monday, Mary-Kate’s lawyers wasted little time in officially filing the paperwork for her divorce.
