Hibs have booted out a £500,000 plus bid for Martin Boyle from Al-Faisaly. The Easter Road outfit have rejected the offer from the Saudi Arabian Pro-League outfit.
The approach was made as Hibs were in final talks to appoin t Shaun Maloney as their new manager. Hibs transfer chief Ian Gordon reluctantly took the bid to his board but it was turned down.
The Australian international would have netted a massive lift in salary by moving to the Middle East but it would have needed Hibs to agree a fee.
American chairman Ron Gordon sees Boyle as one of his main assets and would only sell as a top-drawer bid came in.It looks unlikely that Al Faisaly - who won the King Cup earlier this season, will get to the levels that would get Hibs to deal.The
