Mariah Carey (born March 27, 1969 or 1970) is an American singer, songwriter, actress, and record producer. Referred to as the "Songbird Supreme" by Guinness World Records, she is noted for her five-octave vocal range, melismatic singing style, and signature use of the whistle register.
She rose to fame in 1990 after signing to Columbia Records and releasing her eponymous debut album, which topped the U.S. Billboard 200 for eleven consecutive weeks. Two years ago, in 2018, Page Six reported that the multiple-Grammy Award winner, Mariah Carey, was getting ready to release a new memoir.
This Wednesday, the star took to her Instagram account to say that she had finally finished the book. Carey said it took her a “lifetime” to muster up the courage as well as the clarity to write her memoir.
The singer-songwriter went on to say that the memoir touches on some of her most intimate moments and struggles over the years.
Carey reportedly worked on the new project with Michaela Angela Davis, and it’ll be published under Andy Cohen’s company. Mariah Carey has for a long time been a massive star in the entertainment industry.
