Manchester United have, reportedly, found a club willing to fully finance a deal to sign Marcus Rashford. Rashford, 27, has already turned down three offers worth up to £35million-per-year from Saudi Pro League clubs, while a move to teams in Turkey is a non-starter.
Italy appears to be an acceptable potential destination, though, with the player's agent and brother, Dwaine Maynard, in the country this week to discuss a possible loan transfer with Serie A giants AC Milan.
However, they are reputedly only willing to pay half of the star's reported £325,000 weekly wages. United want more of that salary covered - plus a loan fee - such as the one rising to £6.3million they agreed upon when Jadon Sancho returned to Borussia Dortmund.
That switch also saw the Bundesliga club covering the majority of his £300,000-per-week wages, reportedly two-thirds. Dortmund are again showing interest in doing United a favour this month, as are Milan's rivals Juventus and Napoli, plus multiple Premier League clubs.
