Bruno Fernandes has told Andre Onana that he retains the trust of the Manchester United squad to keep playing out from the back, despite his mistake leading to Matej Vydra's goal for Viktoria Plzen.
Onana's misplaced pass out early in the second half gifted possession to Plzen, with Vydra eventually tapping into an empty net, and Onans was grateful to Rasmus Hojlund for his double turning the game around.
It was the second major mistake that Onana has made in the space of a week, but his captain backed him after the game and insisted it wasn't a major issue.
Fernandes insisted Onana would take ownership of his mistake, but that playing out from the back was a key part of United's approach and that the 28-year-old still had the faith of the squad.
