Mancunians have been soaking up the sunshine and uncharacteristically warm weather across the city as the Easter bank holiday weekend got off to a glorious start.
Hotspots including Piccadilly Gardens in Manchester city centre and Peel Park in Salford have been filled with families and groups of friends getting out to make the most of it.
The region was in fact predicted to be hotter than Ibiza this Good Friday with temperatures expected to have peaked at around 20C compared to the Spanish Island - which was expected to reach 18C. In Salford's Peel Park, the daffodils were out in full force - a sign that Spring may have finally arrived. Groups of people could be seen enjoying walks in the park and even the odd game of Frisbee.
