Manchester United winger Facundo Pellistri has received his first senior international call-up from Uruguay. The 20-year-old signed for the Old Trafford giants last January and immediately headed out on loan to La Liga side Deportivo Alaves - before returning to Spain this season.
However, starts have been few and far between for the €8.5million signing. Pellistri has totted-up 679 minutes across all competitions this campaign and United are weighing-up interest from the Championship as they consider a mid-season switch for one of their 12 loan players.
Only five of those minutes have come in 2022. Despite that momentary setback in his development, there is brighter news on the horizon for the Montevideo-born talent after being handed senior international recognition for the first time - and there will be a familiar face from United joining him in the latest Uruguay squad.
Of course, veteran frontman Edinson Cavani has also been included in the 24-man party by Diego Alonso. Where should Pellistri next head on loan?
