Check out our 17/5 Manchester United vs Southampton prediction below For the second time in a week, Manchester United were made to pay for a complete inability to convert big chances and unless things change quickly, that wastefulness is going to cost them a top-four spot.
No matter how dangerous the Reds look in certain periods of any game, they seem to be completely incapable of posting a complete 90-minute performance.
That is largely down to the fact that they don't control games in the way that a side that dominates possession would. United are either defending or attacking on the break, there is very little in between.
Bruno Fernandes has only scored in one of his last eight Premier League games. Cristiano Ronaldo is just one in his last six, Marcus Rashford has scored just four goals all season while Edi Cavani has found the net just twice.
