Manchester United sweating on Luke Shaw suspension ahead of Aston Villa clash

Manchester United will be hoping Luke Shaw avoids the referee's notebook this evening as the Reds host Aston Villa at Old Trafford.

United have been without Shaw for the most of the campaign after he suffered a muscular injury in the summer. In his absence, the Reds were short at left-back as Tyrell Malacia attempted to overcome a knee complaint.

Sergio Reguilon was signed from Tottenham Hotspur to cover but now Shaw has returned, the Spaniard has struggled to get a look in.

But he could get an opportunity if Shaw is booked against Villa as it will result in a one game ban.
