Grant signed for United from Stoke City back in 2018 having previously enjoyed spells at Derby County, Sheffield Wednesday and Burnley.
The 39-year-old played just twice for United during his four-year spell at Old Trafford. In a statement released on the United website, Grant said: "After 511 appearances, I’ve decided it’s the right time to move into the next stage of my career.
There have been so many fun moments mixed in with the odd challenge, but I’m grateful for each and every one.
