Raphael Varane and Edinson Cavani are back in the Manchester United squad for the first time in almost two months. Both players have travelled with the squad to Newcastle with the rest of the United squad for their first fixture in 16 days at St James' Park.
Victor Lindelof is also in the squad after his episode in the win at Norwich two weeks ago. Varane has been sidelined with a hamstring injury he sustained in the Champions League group stage draw with Atalanta on November 2 but he resumed training two weeks ago.
Cavani has also not figured for United since the Atalanta match due to a tendon injury but, like Varane, returned to training a fortnight ago.
