Mansfield Town manager Nigel Clough has hailed Manchester United loanee Nathan Bishop after his recent display in their win over Exeter City.
The 22-year-old was highlighted as one of the standout performers against the Grecians as Mansfield's promotion push moved in a positive direction.
Bishop has made 36 appearances for the Stags this season after swapping Manchester for Nottinghamshire at the beginning of the campaign, keeping 10 clean sheets so far. "[He was] Absolutely brilliant,” Clough told the official Mansfield Town website. "That’s why he’s a little bit disappointed with the mistake [that led to Exeter’s goal]. He continued: "When you make a mistake and you still get the three points, that’s okay. He kept us in it with three or four brilliant saves tonight." Goals from Farrend Rawson and Matthew Longstaff fired Mansfield into third, a point behind second-placed Northampton with two games in hand.
