Manchester United legend Cristiano Ronaldo surprised his mother with a birthday gift after jetting back to Portugal. Ronaldo was on the scoresheet for Al Nassr in a 4-1 win over Al Taawoun on Saturday in his final game of 2023.
The 38-year-old, who signed for the Saudi Arabian side last January after his second spell with United came to an end, scored 54 goals across the calendar year for club and country, including 10 in nine games for Portugal.
The win over Al Taawoun signalled the start of a winter break for Ronaldo, who wasted little time in flying back to his home island of Madeira.
The forward arrived in time to celebrate his mother Dolores Alveiro’s 69th birthday on Sunday.
