The report claims that the Reds will face competition from both Newcastle and Tottenham for the 25-year-old, as a number of clubs are keen on the midfielder. Despite the superb performances of Eriksen, who occupies a similar role to the Leicester man, the transfer would allow United to plan in the long-term for an eventual replacement for the Dane.
