Manchester United give team news and injury updates on three players for Arsenal fixture

Manchester United will be without Anthony Martial again for the Premier League visit of Arsenal on Sunday. Martial sustained an Achilles injury last week that sidelined him for the wins against Southampton and Leicester.

United manager Erik ten Hag suggested Martial suffered the injury during his second-half appearance against Liverpool last Monday but the Frenchman trained two days before the victory at Southampton. Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Luke Shaw were absent at Leicester due to "small complaints" and Ten Hag was unable to elaborate on the extent of their injuries. "It's difficult to say when I talk about Luke Shaw and Aaron but Anthony Martial will not be available for Sunday," Ten Hag said. "I cannot tell (when Martial will be back) at this moment." Wan-Bissaka has only started in five of the last 30 league games and Shaw has been quickly ousted at left-back by summer signing Tyrell Malacia.

Ten Hag has picked the same back four in the last three games United have won and the team have only conceded one goal. United recorded back-to-back 1-0 wins against Southampton and Leicester, having gone through the entirely of last season without keeping successive clean sheets. "Collectively, I see the whole team is defending and that makes it easier for our defenders," Ten Hag added. "I think what they do well is cooperate.
