Manchester United fans have been reacting to the Champions League group stage draw having been allocated in Group A alongside Bayern Munich, FC Copenhagen and Galatasaray.
The Reds are back in Europe’s elite competition after a year away following the dismal 2021/22 campaign. That season, they crashed out to Atletico Madrid in the last 16 but there is hope they can go further this time.
United have not reached the quarter-finals since the 2018/19 season and have failed to make the semi-finals since reaching the showpiece itself in 2011.
The Reds last played Bayern in 2014, where they lost over two quarter-final legs. Of course, the Germans were the side United beat in the famous 1999 Champions League final too.
