Lisandro Martinez is poised to return to the Manchester United squad for the first time in eight weeks against Brentford. Martinez has been sidelined with a medial collateral ligament injury since the victory over West Ham on February 4 but he did ball-work in Argentina's training sessions earlier this month.

United manager Erik ten Hag was vague over the specific availability of certain players. Casemiro (hamstring) and Jonny Evans (knock) missed the FA Cup triumph against Liverpool and Harry Maguire came off injured in England's 1-0 defeat to Brazil last week.

Ten Hag stressed some players would return to the squad at the Gtech Community Stadium and United have one more training session on Friday.
