Manchester United have named a 24-man squad for Wednesday's pre-season friendly against Lyon which includes Jonny Evans. The veteran defender has been training at Carrington with the Under-21s and the first team to keep fit as he looks for a new club after leaving Leicester City.
However, Evans will get the chance to play for his old club once again after signing a short-term deal so he can take part in the Edinburgh and San Diego legs of the pre-season tour.
Evans will be involved in the squad that takes on Lyon in the Scottish capital and will then travel with the youngsters to San Diego while the first team goes to New York to face Arsenal on July 22.
United play Wrexham in San Diego on July 25 before facing Real Madrid in Houston the following day. The rest of the squad travelling to Edinburgh does not include the likes of Marcus Rashford, Bruno Fernandes and the other internationals who returned to training on Saturday.
