Erik ten Hag looks set to land his third major signing of the summer this week after Manchester United agreed a fee for Rasmus Hojlund on Saturday.
United will pay an initial £64m for Hojlund with another £8m set aside for performance and success-related add-ons. The club had initially set a maximum price of £60m for the Danish international, but with less than two weeks until the Premier League season kicks off, they bit the bullet and caved to Atalanta's demands.
Ten Hag had made the 20-year-old his priority striker target part way through the summer, moving away from Harry Kane amid an acceptance that Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy would not come to the table.
