Manchester rail commuters are likely to face delays or cancellations on train services today after a person sadly died after being found on train tracks.
Emergency services were called to Widnes railways station, at around 10.45am on Friday, January 5. At the scene they confirmed that they found a person on the tracks.

There is no service on Transpennine Express, East Midlands Railway and Northern between Liverpool Lime Street and Warrington Central due to emergency services dealing with the incident at Widnes.
